How to Monetize your Blog

1. Pay per click (PPC) ads. Pretty self explanatory. You get paid every time someone clicks the ad.
2. Affiliate ads (CPA). Here you get paid a percentage of the sale. You only get paid if someone buys something.
3. CPM pays you per number of impressions that the ad is loaded on your blog. This is good if you feel like you have a lot of traffic that is rather unproductive.
4. RSS ads. You place ads on your sites, why not on your rss feed as well?
   
5. Donations. If you run a relatively ad-free site that provides useful information to your visitors, consider adding a donate button from paypal.
6. Information products. Create your own product like an ebook and offer it for sale to your blog visitors.
7. Sponsored posts. Companies may want you to review their product and provide a link back to their site.
8. Members area. You could have a free section and a paid section of your site. Offer access to this premium section for a monthly fee. The benefit of this is recurring income which is better than one time income.
9. Listings. If you have a site about a city such as “San Diego Fine Dining” you can charge local businesses to be listed in your directory. If you run a local real estate site you can charge realtors to list their properties for sale there. You get the idea.
10. Sell ad space. Are you making $15/mo from an adsense spot on your blog? Sell it to an advertiser for $20 instead.
